9th January 2026 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Cold and wet. Max Speed: Distance Covered: Friday 9th January - walks *** – Felixstowe seafront with Maeva – Rain with a moderate offshore wind. Storm Goretti was a bit of a wet squib here in Felixstowe as we missed the worse of the weather, it was cold with light rain and a moderate offshore breeze meaning the sea was fairly flat with some nice waves rolling in! I did have a quick ride round Felixstowe to take some rainy weather pics which does seem an absolute waste of time at the moment :( Mag then went to pick up Maeva as its Friday and she was very pleased to see me, despite the cold miserable weather I packed a lunch as Maeva loves a picnic in the van, we just drove down the hill and parked by the sea at the bottom of the pram walk. We had fun in the van nice and cosy with the diesel heater running watching people walk past in the gloom! Maeva was keen to drag us out for a walk so we headed up the pram walk and onto the Spa Theatre and down onto the prom, we had some fun taking selfies onn one of the new beach hut stands before watching a brave man have a quick dip in the waves! Maeva enjoyed running along the beach avoiding the waves, we were getting damp in the light rain so returned home to watch Peppa Pig! Another top Friday:) Photo Album here |
